Best Practices

JangoMail has one goal in mind, successful delivery of your emails! We want to help you succeed in every aspect, so we have put together some of our Best Practices.

  1. Getting Started
    • Let us know your goals, expectations, and requirements.
      • Sending volume – month and day
      • Master/Subaccount needs
      • Brands you are sending from
      • Domain Distribution
      • IP Pool Expectations
    • Set up full DNS records – SPF, DKIM, DMARC and Custom Tracking Domain.
  2. Your Sending Lists
    • Make sure your recipients have opted in recently, and know what to expect from your emails.
    • Provide your bounces and unsubscribes from any previous sending you have done.
    • Hygiene your list through a service such as X-Verify, Email Oversight, or others before sending fresh. JangoMail can provide this service for an additional fee.
  3. Message and Content
    • Add your unsubscribe option at the top and bottom of your emails.
    • Tell the recipient why they are getting the email.
    • Send valuable and relevant content.
    • Make the offer clear and compelling.
    • Keep the content evenly balanced with Text and Images.
      • Do not send one large image.
    • Send using a valid email address.
      • Use a domain you or your company owns.
      • Do not use public domains (Yahoo, Aol, Gmail, etc.).
    • Ensure your URLs and Domain are not Blacklisted.
    • Avoid “hot” words in your subject lines and text.
      • Free, Advertisement, Offer, $$, Money, Dollar amounts, Millions – we can provide an even longer list if desired.

  4. Onboarding/Ramp Up Sending
    • Start slow and steady – we are building your reputation with us.
    • Throttle the sending to help spread out the sending over many hours.
    • Send to more than one domain/ISP at a time.
    • Keep sending – build a sending pattern and rarely deviate from it.
    • Review your Blocks regularly.
    • Send to Active Engagers more frequently than non-Engagers.
  5. Consider Using a Dedicated IP for Your Sending
