New Feature: Purge Address

With respect to recipient privacy and the “right to be forgotten,” JangoMail has made it easy for you to clear an address out of your account should you receive a request from a recipient asking you to forget them (at least within our system).

We’ll clear an address out of the following areas:

  • Lists
  • Complaints
  • Blocks
  • Opens
  • Clicks
  • Transactional messages
  • Campaign recipients
  • Delivery logs
  • Unsubscribes
  • Bounces
  • Opt-in Forms
  • Webpage views
  • Journaling addresses
  • Required recipients

Note: the last two items are addresses you would have manually added into your account settings.

How to Purge an Address

  1. Go to Reports
  2. Hover over Tools
  3. Select Purge Address

  1. Type in the email address in question
  2. Click PURGE THIS ADDRESS

Note: A purge does not prevent that address from being added back into your recipient stream within JangoMail, so it is incumbent on you to ensure that the re-add is coming from the recipient directly, and not by some other means of address acquisition.

The purge action is then confirmed. JangoMail will send an email notification to the account owner documenting the removal of the address in question.
